Cansa volunteers treated

CANSA thanked its volunteers for their committment with a lunch last Friday.

THE Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) held a lunch on Friday to thank its volunteers for all their hard work.

Addressing the volunteers, regional manager, Cara Noble, said she was grateful to have everyone there and thanked the volunteers for their commitment to the association.

“It's been a long year and there have been a lot of changes and new things happening at CANSA. I thank everyone for their support and for walking with CANSA this year,” she said.

She said CANSA needed its volunteers' help to visit patients and support in its initiatives.

“I have been the manager here for a year now and all our volunteers present today have made an important difference to CANSA in every way, be it visits to patients, cooking meals and so on. It means so much,” she said.

The guests were treated to a lunch, and enjoyed some fun bingo games into the afternoon.
