Dream wall is well received

A GLENWOOD family is encouraging residents to ‘dare to dream’.
The McBride’s have painted a Dare to Dream Wall on the wall of their business property in Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road, and are inviting the community to give a ‘voice’ to their dreams, by noting them down on the wall.
“We read about Ian Reed and Beverley Burne who were involved in establishing the wall where residents could ‘erase their fears’ and we thought it was a good idea. We have also seen something on the wall at Moses Mabhida Stadium, and thought we would like to do something similar, which is what Ian and Beverley were encouraging,” said Louise McBride.
She said she thought that once people had had their fears erased, they needed to have their dreams in place.
“We thought this wall would be a great place to visualise their dreams. We are in the business of health and wellness and always believe in setting goals and making dreams a reality. This goes hand in hand with the wall,” said Louise.
She said the community had been very receptive to the idea, and they had put a signboard up outside inviting people to go in and write on the wall.
“It’s been very, very cool!” said Louise.
