A WOMAN who was arrested for allegedly throwing a child into the sea on Durban's North Beach on Sunday 28 December has appeared in court for attempted murder.
According to reports, the 28-year-old woman threw the child into the water, and was standing by the water when she was arrested.
Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane, said it still had to be established whether she was the child's biological mother. The child, who is thought to be about three or four years old, has been taken into care by social workers.
The case was adjourned to later this month for a bail hearing.
