Embassy hosts French forum
A discussion about French for business in Africa will be held in Durban.
THE Embassy of France is hosting a forum on French language use for professional purposes in Africa in April 2015 in three major South African cities.
The forum will bring together business representatives, international cooperation representatives and professionals in the field of education to discuss French as a language of employment in Africa.
The local event will be at the Elangeni Hotel on 16 April from 8am to 1pm.
Speakers will debate its influence on economic and commercial networks and the benefits of effective communication for relationship-building and financial success in round tables facilitated by Victor Kgomoeswana, popular author and African business specialist.
The Department of Basic Education, local chambers of commerce and industries, and local and international operators for the teaching of French language are supporting the event.
English and French will be the official languages of the forum. An interpreter will be available during each round table session and all opening speeches.
The event is free of charge, breakfast and lunch will be served.
