SANBS is urging Durbanites to become regular blood donors, and help the organisation raise 3000 units of blood a day.
THE South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is looking for more blood donors.
Three thousand units of blood need to be collected every day nationally to ensure that the demand is met. One blood donation of 480ml can save up to three lives. “However simple this may read, it is often a difficult number to reach on most days, and this has a huge impact on the lives of patients,” said Vanessa Raju, communications manager of SANBS.
If you are in good health, are between the ages of 16 and 65, weigh more than 50kg, and lead a sexually safe lifestyle, make your way to Musgrave Blood Donor Clinic in Pardy Gardens Road, off Musgrave Road, and donate life-giving blood.
