Radio station gives back
Durban University of Technology's radio station, RadioDUT, celebrated its first birthday by spending time with children.
THE Durban University of Technology’s campus radio: RadioDUT, celebrated its first birthday with the children of Othandweni Child and Youth Care Centre.
On Tuesday, 2 June, RadioDUT, which is striving to be the number one campus radio station in South Africa, celebrated not only its first birthday but also, Children’s Week and used its birthday as an opportunity to give back to the community.
RadioDUT visited the youth of Othandweni Child and Youth Care Centre in Sherwood as well as the children’s ward at St Aidan’s Hospital in Durban. The aim of the two visits was to entertain, while also adding hope to the lives of young people.
