Multiple injuries as taxi overturns

AT least 20 people were injured on the N3 close to the Berea offramp, Durban, on Tuesday evening. ER24 paramedics and other services, including Fire and Rescue Services, arrived to find a taxi on its side.

The taxi driver had  allegedly lost control of the vehicle resulting in it sliding several metres on the road. A second taxi and four cars were found about 100 metres away.

Paramedics assessed the patients who suffered minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to various hospitals for further medical care.

Authorities were on scene to investigate further.
