Bikers revved up for Toy Run

PAVILION Shopping Centre will support Durban West Tourism Toy Run, one of the largest motorcycle charity events in the world, bringing together more than 100 000 bikers and their families in almost two dozen venues around Southern Africa on the last Sunday in November each year.

Now in its 33rd year, the Toy Run is based on a very simple principle: it doesn’t just collect toys, it collects people – on bikes, on foot, on skateboards, and even on four wheels – who bring toys to a central venue where they donate the toys to be distributed to children in homes and unfunded grass-roots care centres who wouldn’t know about Christmas if it weren’t for the bikers.

The Durban Toy Run will leave the Pavilion Shopping Centre on Sunday, 29 November at 9.30am, and finish at the Lords and Legends sport grounds in Amanzimtoti. For more information on how to get involved contact Les Boes on 083 487 6846.
