Good news about orange bags

Orange recycling bags to be provided again, says councillor.

RESIDENTS complaining about the lack of orange recycling bags can breathe a sigh of relief. The bags will be provided to them soon, says councillor Martin Meyer.

According to Meyer, there has been a problem with the supplier of the bags, which has been sorted out.

A Chelmsford Road resident, Wendy Watson, said she had followed up the issue with DSW.

“I was put through to four different lines before speaking to the right person! She said she would tell the contractors to collect our bags as they haven't been collected for two weeks, and have been dug through in the meantime, with everything left strewn all over. It's terrible,” she said.

Meyer said he had been told DSW would be providing the bags soon and those bags that had not been removed from verges would also be collected.
