Easter bunny spreads cheer

Local nurse, Dianne Le Grange spread some festive cheer when she visited the Durban Oncology Centre and Bill Buchanan Home for the Aged as the Easter Bunny last week.

THE EASTER Bunny, local nurse, Dianne Le Grange spread some festive cheer when she visited the Durban Oncology Centre at Westridge and Bill Buchanan Home for the Aged in Morningside last week.

A staff nurse at Bill Buchanan, Le Grange told Berea Mail, “The Oncology Centre is a place close to my heart, especially since I had a cancer scare earlier this year and spent some time there. Thankfully all is well after radium treatment, so I wanted to give back and do something nice.”

When she thought about dressing up and cheering up the patients and elderly, Le Grange said Pick ‘n Pay Musgrave and Glenwood Spar were happy to help with Easter egg sponsorship. “I am so grateful for their support and Imagination Costume Hire in Glenwood also sponsored it when they heard what I was doing. It was such an awesome experience everyone was so happy and full of smiles when they saw the Easter bunny .
