Food for life surprise school children with uShaka visit

The Food for Life Children’s Project surprised the learners of the Clare Ellis Brown Pre-Primary school with tickets to uShaka Marine World.

THE children of the Clare Ellis Brown Pre-Primary School in the Point were pleasantly surprised by the sponsorship of tickets to uShaka Marine World by the Food for Life Children's Project earlier this month.

Divesh Maharaj, manager of the Project, indicated that Food for Life is committed to supporting the holistic development of children by a 'hand-in-glove' approach to nutrition and education.

The school principal, Nora Saneka, said, “The children were very excited to see the sharks, different kinds of fish, coral and the turtle. They loved the penguins and the dolphin show and participated with enthusiasm. The message of ‘reuse, recycle and reduce waste’ is being carried forward in our school educational programme. We are continuing to explain to the children how bad plastic is for sea creatures and that littering must stop, starting with us.”
