Keep a child warm this winter

WITH colder weather slowly creeping into Durban, the Durban Child and Youth Care Centre is appealing to the community to assist with donations of warm winter clothing for girls and boys in its care.

With growing children and new arrivals, the need for adequate and appropriate clothing is a continuous demand, and now with the chilly winter approaching more so than ever. As you can imagine, purchasing clothing for 74 children can be really expensive, especially when it includes having to also buy for teenagers. This is why we appeal to the community to help us provide warm winter jackets, trousers, takkies and long sleeved tops for the youth and children in our care,” said Thina Hlophe.

She said the Centre will gladly accept cash donations, new and “good condition” second hand clothing.
