Learner donates wheelchair
A St Henry's learner donated a wheelchair to TAFTA for one of its residents.
GRADE 11 learner Teerajeh Timothy from St Henry’s Marist College, met a basic essential right for one of TAFTA’s elderly residents, by donating a wheelchair which will be distributed to a frail beneficiary at either John Dunn or John Conradie Frail Care Facilities in Durban.
TAFTA provides monthly care and support services to 7 500 elderly people through its 14 care facilities, six lifestyle centres and community outreach programmes. TAFTA’S services are to include accommodation, home-based care, nutrition, wellness and recreational activities, education and awareness sessions, health care, social services and counselling for either fit, assisted living or frail elderly.
TAFTA thanked Teerajeh for her effort, passion and commitment in supporting the vulnerable elderly.
