Twenty one people were injured in a multiple vehicle collision in the Durban CBD last night.

TWENTY one people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in the Durban last night.

Two vehicles and a taxi collided at the corner of Smith Street and Brook Street  just before 7pm on Monday night.

According to Rescue Care’s advanced life support paramedic, Ceron Lennox, paramedics arrived to find the three badly damaged vehicles across the junction. “We found multiple patients and called for more ambulances and Advanced Life Support units to assist. A total of 21 people had sustained various injuries ranging from minor to serious and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to hospital,” she said.

The exact cause of the collision is being investigated.
