Building collapses injuring worker

A worker was injured after part of a building collapsed in the Durban CBD on Monday night.

A WORKER sustained moderate injuries on Monday night after part of a building collapsed West Street, Durban.

According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics,paramedics arrivedjust after 6pm find that part of a construction site had collapsed injuring one of the workers.

“Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the man before transporting him to hospital,” said Jamieson.

He said the exact cause of the collapse was unknown however SAPS and Metro Police will be investigating further.
