DUT suspends classes for three days

THE Durban University of Technology (DUT) has suspended lectures for three days starting from Wednesday until Friday, following a meeting between the Executive Management and the Student Representative Council. According to the DUT Executive Management and SRC, the three-day suspension will them enough time to address matters raised by the SRC.

Professor Thenjiwe Meyiwa, Registrar at the Durban University of Technology said it had been agreed, in consultation with the SRC, to continue with registration and to keep the Finance and Financial Aid Offices open, to assist students with their registrations processes.

“The University is not shut. Administration and Support Services will be operational throughout the three days. The academic programme will resume on Monday, 31 July 2017. DUT apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
