Brrrrrrr … it’s snowing!
Snowfalls in the KZN midlands have sent temperatures plummeting and Durbanites reaching for winter woollies.
WRAP up warm and stay indoors, unless you’re the adventurous kind who decides to take a drive inland to find snow!
Snow fell overnight at the top of Sani Pass where 30 to 40cm of snow are expected to fall during the course of today, Friday 18 August. Nottingham Road, Dargle and Mooi River all report snowfalls and in Kokstad and surrounding areas, maximum temperatures expected are around 6 degrees. A blanket of snow has also fallen over the Eastern Cape region.
According to Rob Ansell, founder of Snow Report SA, some areas in the KZN Midlands near Impendle reported 5cm of snow overnight and into today. The southern region of the Drakensberg also received snow on Thursday night where further snowfalls are expected.
