SAPS in search of new recruits
Application forms will be available at all police stations in KwaZulu-Natal.
THE South African Police Service (SAPS) is recruiting for entry level constables.
Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 30, and in possession of a Grade 12 senior certificate or national certificate (level 4) safety in society (relevant to the field of policing preference).
Applicants must be proficient in English and one other official language, have have no criminal record, departmental convictions or pending cases, and should be willing to have their fingerprints taken and allow for background enquiries to be made.
Another requirement is for applicants to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least a light motor vehicle.
Applicants are not to have any visible tattoo marks which will be irreconcilable with the objectives of the service.
They will have to undertake a physical and medical examination to be declared fit, and will need to undergo a psychometric assessment to fit the profile. They must also be prepared to undergo training as determined by the national commissioner and be prepared to serve anywhere in the republic.
Application forms will be available at all police stations in KwaZulu-Natal. The closing date is 22 September.
