Overport Clinic hosts Open Day

OVERPORT Clinic will host an open day, cancer awareness day and clinic committee launch on Friday.
The clinic, which serves much of the Morningside, Overport, Musgrave and Glenwood area, provides care in ante-natal Care from first trimester to full term, treatment of minor ailments and holistic primary health care, chronic treatment of HIV, Hypertension, Diabetes, Epilepsy and TB and Integration and management of Childhood illness that includes a well baby clinic and immunization.
Facility Manager Mr. JA Khumalo said: “We have some planned activities for the day to inform and to benefit the community of Overport. These include Cancer Awareness and to educate the community regarding the services provided by the Clinic.We would appreciate stakeholder involvement within the catchment area and with some refreshments.”
Other services provided include cervical screening, medical male circumcision, HIV testing, TB screening and Diabetes and Hypertension screening.These services are provided daily at the facility. Immunization and chronic streams start at 6.30am until 4pm as per patient request.
