Hurley Centre seeks volunteers over Christmas

Volunteer your time to feed the homeless with the Denis Hurley Centre this festive season.

THE Denis Hurley Centre (DHC) will continue feeding the poor over the festive season. The Centre will serve breakfast and lunch to 300 people as usual every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the festive season and is looking for volunteers to help out.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 December, Wednesday, 26 and Thursday, 27 December, Saturday, 29 and Sunday, 30 December and Tuesday, 1 and Wednesday, 2 January.

The key periods are between 8am and 10am and then 11am to 1pm. If you want to help you can just turn up or you can email or call Cathy on 083 956 3726.

Donations of non-perishable food are also welcome. If you want to donate perishable food, contact Cathy in advance.
