Support food garden at Durban Jewish Centre

Spinach is now on sale at only R10 for a big bunch of freshly plucked, healthy organic leaves.

CONSIDER buying some vegetables to help the homeless help themselves.

Some of the men at the emergency shelter behind the Jewish Club in North Beach have developed a market garden, thanks to Safer Cities at eThekwini which encouraged this initiative.

Spinach is now on sale at only R10 for a big bunch of freshly plucked, healthy organic leaves. Soon there will also be green peppers, spring onions, cabbages, lettuces and runner beans.

You can buy from them seven days a week, 7am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm. Ask at the gate of the Safe Open Sleeping Space behind Elangeni Hotel (corner of Molyneux and Sylvester Ntuli Roads).
