Gagasi FM Beach Fest 2025 announces headline acts

The countdown to summer has begun in Durban following the launch of the Gagasi FM Beach Fest 2025 which is shaping up to be an unmissable highlight of the festive season with its blend of local talent, cultural pride, and electrifying performances.

THE countdown to the start for the festive season has begun and the Gagasi FM Beach Fest, set for Saturday, December 6, at Moses Mabhida Stadium’s People’s Park, has announced its headline act.

The highly anticipated return of the iconic summer music festival will see Oscar Mbo, Morda Bongz, Jazzwrld & Thukuthela, Mawhoo, Gold Max, Zakwe, Nasty C, BeastRSA, Trompies, Dumi Mkokstad, DJ Maphorisa and many more artists perform. Fans will also be treated to high-energy DJ sets from DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi, Sizwe Mdlalose, Mgilane, and Gagasi FM’s own Sphectacular & DJ Naves, DJ Happygal, and others.

Now in its 12th year, the Beach Fest has become a cornerstone of KwaZulu-Natal’s summer entertainment calendar, drawing over 12 000 attendees annually. Minenhle Dlamini, managing director at Gagasi FM, said the event is more than just a music festival, it’s a vibrant celebration of KZN’s music.

“Beach Fest is more than just a music festival — it’s a celebration of Durban, its people, and our vibrant culture. Each year we aim to elevate the experience, and 2025 will be no different. With this incredible line-up and our loyal supporters, we know it will be a festival to remember,” said Dlamini.

The 2025 edition also sees the return of official sponsors Telkom and ABSA, who have renewed their support following a successful partnership in 2024. Hosting duties will be handled by an all-star line-up of Gagasi FM presenters, including Felix Hlophe, Minnie Ntuli, Selbeyonce, Khaya Mthethwa, and more familiar voices from the station.

Gates will open at 10:00 and cooler boxes can be taken in for free until 12:00, thereafter a charge of R200 will apply until 15:00. No cooler boxes will be allowed inside the venue after 15:00.

Tickets are available at TicketPro, Pick n’ Pay & SPAR. Early bird tickets are available at R350 for General Access, and from November 1 they will be available at R380, with VIP tickets costing R1000. Gates open at 10:00 and the event ends at 00:00.
