Glenmore learner steps up for KZN in softball
Khwezi Kumalo makes Glenmore Primary proud, earning provincial colours in softball and breaking records along the way.
GLENMORE Primary School learner Khwezi Kumalo has hit another milestone in his sporting career.
The talented Grade Seven athlete has been selected to represent KwaZulu-Natal in softball at Camp Discovery in Pretoria in November. “This incredible achievement is a reflection of his hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport,” said the school management.
Khwezi recently made headlines at Glenmore Primary when he broke a 30-year-old school record in the long jump, achieving an outstanding distance of 4.61m. He is also a standout in soccer and touch rugby, where he serves as Impala Captain, earning a reputation as an all-round sportsman.

“Khwezi’s success has brought great pride not only to his family but also to our school community, who have supported him every step of the way.”
Ahead of his departure to Camp Discovery from November 30 to December 4, the school is appealing for community support to help fund Khwezi’s tour. To contribute toward his trip, contact Tmullany@glenmoreprimary.co.za for the KZN Softball banking details.
