Anlia Etzebeth to lead national anthem at landmark Durban July

The 130th edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July will kick off in style with singer Anlia Etzebeth confirmed to perform the national anthem.

HOLLYWOODBETS brand ambassador and singer Anlia Etzebeth has been confirmed as the one to perform the national anthem when South Africa’s premier horse racing event gallops into action on Saturday, 4 July, at the Greyville Racecourse.

Known for her thrilling on screen and live stage performances, Anlia also the wife of Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth. She is no stranger to the task of performing the national anthem in front of a massive crowd as she one once captivated rugby fans at the Cape Town Stadium in 2022 when Eben marked his 100th test cap with a Man of the Match performance.

“It is always such an incredible honour to sing our National Anthem! It is even more special to get to sing it at this year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July. I cannot wait!” said Anlia.

This year’s race will be the 130th edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July. The stakes will be high following the confirmation of the ground-breaking all-time record prize money of R10 million, making it the richest graded stakes ever run on African soil.
