Thousands will be taking to the streets of Durban in the 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race, starting and finishing at Suncoast Casino, on OR Tambo Parade (Snell Parade), P3 Parking Area, and the organisers have issued an alert about sound disturbance and road closures.

The event will go live at 06:00, with activations along the routes, with amplified sound. Organisers said the sound will be kept at acceptable levels and will be monitored by safety officers; this includes sound checks on Saturday, August 1 between 14:00 and 18:00.

Provisional temporary road closures for the duration of the event are as follows:
04:00 Snell Parade — P3 to Battery Beach Road, opens on strike of finish chute and Snell Parade crossing.
04:00 – Casino Circle and P3 Access
06:30 – Snell Parade / Athlone Drive
07:00 – Athlone Drive and M4 ramps
07:00 – MY Avenue southbound (Athlone to Battery Beach)
07:00 – Battery Beach Road
07:15 – MY Avenue northbound (Battery Beach to Archie Gumede)
07:15 – Somtseu Road, Jelf Taylor, bus lane
07:30 – KE Masinga Street / Eden Crescent / Kingsmead Way
07:30 – MY Avenue southbound (Kingsmead to Battery Beach Road)
