Women’s race supports PinkDrive
The Totalsports Women’s Race Durban proudly supports PinkDrive this July.
DURBAN streets will be awash in a sea of pink when runners from all walks of life #RunUnited in support of the PinkDrive at this year’s Totalsports Women’s race on Sunday, 22 July.
Janice Benecke, PinkDrive KZN Administrator, said the event was well supported in 2017. “We reached 7100 runners, examining 192 ladies with no referrals. This year PinkDrive will once again be very involved with the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban. PinkDrive, is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa. We will be offering free clinical breast examinations and educating the public on the importance of self-breast examinations. Runners can approach our nurses for advice and/or assistance.”

The event starts at Kings Park athletics track and offers participants a choice of a 10km and 5km distance. Entry fees for 10km licensed runners is R120 or R140 for unlicensed runners which includes a temporary license. The 5km entrance fee is R80.

In store entries will be accepted at selected Totalsports stores until 10 July 2018.
Each entrant will receive a fitted event T-shirt, a finisher’s bracelet and can look forward to energetic on-route entertainment and an exhilarating live performance by a well-known South African artist.
