It was an epic moment for strollers when the Durban Beach Sari Stroll took to the promenade. Draped in saris, participants descended from all over the province. The event was complemented by endless entertainment on the sidelines.

It was the young and old, a multitude of different races and cultures, marking the 2026 edition. In alignment with its tradition since 2010, the Stroll has grown into one of the city’s most recognisable cultural events. It was more than an exhibition of oriental fashion; it was a centre of social cohesion.

A special acknowledgement went to the founder, Kammy Gounden, whose vision and dedication brought the Durban Sari Stroll to life. The Stroll she started as an idea has grown into a vibrant event that aims to bring people together to celebrate heritage, tradition, and the timeless elegance of the sari.
