Residents of Ward 31 have been notified of the water supply challenges amid the failure of the Wiggins Pump.

Ward 31 councillor Remona McKenzie said, “Wiggins’ pump has failed, affecting all high‑level pump‑supplied reservoirs. This includes Sherwood 1 & 2, Chesterville, Lamont, St Thomas, Ridge End, South Ridge, North Ridge, Cato Manor, Woodlands 1 & 2, and Bluff reservoirs.”

She added that the municipality is working on alternate supply arrangements to mitigate the impact. “A Public Service Announcement will be issued shortly with further details,” she said.

McKenzie assured that the matter is being treated with urgency. “I have requested for tankers for the affected areas. Updates will be shared as soon as new information becomes available,” she said.
