TWO people were treated for minor smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a block of flats on Peter Makoba Road in the Berea area on Sunday, September 25.
Emer-G-Med Paramedics responded to the scene and treated the two patients.

“Reports from the scene are that a fire broke out in one of the apartments. Swift action by one of the neighbours saw the family pets evacuated to safety while eThekwini Fire and Rescue services quickly extinguished the blaze,” said Kyle van Reenen, spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Paramedics.
The eThekwini Fire Department was not available to comment at the time this article was published.
