Man shot multiple times in Manor Gardens

Paramedics arrived to find the man in a serious condition.

SHOTS were fired in a hijacking on Sunday, September 25, when a man in his sixties sustained gunshot wounds to his legs. The incident took place on Wheeler Road in Manor Gardens around 19:30.

Advanced Life Support Paramedics responded to the shooting, arriving on the scene to find the man in a serious condition.

“He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and was stabilised on the scene by paramedics before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required,” said Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics.

Jamieson added that SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further. SAPS was not available for comment at the time this article was published.
