uShaka Sea World Education calls for volunteers

uShaka Sea World is seeking volunteers and this Friday will be hosting Education Volunteer Guide open-day presentations for prospective volunteers to find out about the SAAMBR Education Volunteer programme.

USHAKA Sea World Education is looking for volunteers who are interested in the marine environment. The South African Association for Marine Biological Research (SAAMBR) recently released a statement, saying, “To join our team of passionate marine educators, you need to be 18 years or older and able to communicate in English to guests of all ages and backgrounds.”

If this describes you, make the trip to attend the Education Volunteer Guide open-day presentations to find out about the SAAMBR Education Volunteer programme.

“At the presentation, we will discuss what it takes to become a volunteer, as well as the role the education volunteers play. You do not need any formal marine qualifications as all our education volunteers undergo a lengthy period of training prior to qualifying as a volunteer,” said SAAMBR in their statement.

Presentations will be held on Friday, February 3 at 10:00 and on Tuesday, February 7 at 17:30 for 18:00 at the uShaka Sea World Education Centre which is based at uShaka Marine World.
