Eden College and Glenwood High School team up for an epic performance

Eden College and Glenwood High School learners will be coming together to showcase a musical at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre at the end of this month!

LOCAL schools Eden College and Glenwood High School are teaming up to present 13 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. The original book was written by Dan Elish and Robert Horn.

Following a move from New York City to a small town in Indiana, 12-year-old Evan Goldman (played by Glenwood High student Aaron Fields) grapples with his parents’ divorce while preparing for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah. He tries to befriend Brett Sampson (played by Nelson Bachiga of Glenwood High), the most popular kid in the school, because if Brett comes to his Bar Mitzvah, everyone else will come.

With a cast of high-energy dancers and singers, this teen musical promises to have audiences clapping along in their seats, as Evan and his friend, Patrice (played by Bailey Williams of Eden College), navigate the complicated social circles at school, as Evan faces the impossible task of bringing everyone happily together in time for his party or risk social ruin.

The play will be showcased at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, opening on Thursday, March 30. You don’t want to miss this epic collaboration – book your ticket now through Computicket. Tickets are available from R60 to R90. The show will run on Thursday, March 30, at 19:30 and Friday, March 31, at 12:00; Saturday, April 1, at 19:30, and Sunday, April 2, at 14:00.
