‘Shell out’ your best turtle photos for Durban promenade exhibit

Photographers can 'lens' a hand to this fun initiative by submitting their best work.

The South African Association for Marine Biological Research (SAAMBR) is calling all underwater photographers to enter the Durban Promenade photo competition, taking place on May 23, World Turtle Day.
SAAMBR took to their Facebook page to share the news, saying they had partnered with the eThekwini Municipality for the event.
“In honour of this internationally celebrated day, SAAMBR and the eThekwini Municipality are hosting a turtle-centric photo competition, which will culminate in an exhibition on the Durban Promenade. The goal of the exhibition is to spread turtle love,” read the post.
Submissions of images showcasing turtles in their natural environment are welcome. The competition is open to everyone. The winning images will be displayed on the Durban Promenade.
