The day was filled with smiles, laughter and loud cheers as the residents won prizes for their bingo. “We wanted to treat our residents to a fun day of socialising, and we thought bingo was the best way to get them to socialise and have fun with other residents from other homes,” said Kasthurie Naicker, the general manager of Mothwa Haven.
The game, organised by Estelle Molly and Sanet Van De Walt, had the residents in high spirits as they played for various prizes, such as bags and snacks and the big prize of R200. Mothwa Haven recently celebrated the 100th birthday of one of their residents, Rita Bodamer, who passed away just a day after her 100th birthday.
