Woman fatally struck in pedestrian accident in Berea
The two occupants of the vehicle had sustained moderate injuries.

THIS afternoon, a woman was fatally struck by a car in a pedestrian accident on Berea Road opposite Berea Centre.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the incident occurred just after 13:00 today. “On arrival, the paramedics found that a female believed to be in her forties had sustained major injuries, and unfortunately, there was nothing more the paramedics could do for her, and she was declared deceased on the scene.”

Jamieson said two occupants of the vehicle had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised on scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.
“At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown, however, SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
