Sinkhole in Bulwer Road causes panic

Motorists have had to keep a lookout for the knee-deep hole which is indicated by safety cones without any signage to warn traffic from afar that there's such a wide and deep hole on the road.

A MASSIVE sinkhole in Bulwer Road, Glenwood, is causing panic for motorists and residents. One of the residents, Siyethemba Nzama, demonstrated how deep and big the hole was and also indicated that the hole was filling up when it rains, which causes the sewage smell to be worse.

“I am going to get inside just to show you the depth of the hole, but our worry is, it is in the middle of a steep road, and unknowing motorists can easily drive into the hole because even the cones cautioning motorists have fallen down,” added Nzama.
