A BLUE Security officer responded to an alarm going off at Curro Heritage House on Lilian Ngoyi Road, Windermere, today (January 2). When he arrived, he spotted suspects making a getaway with what looked like copper pipes and an air conditioner unit.
The armed officer called for backup and immediately pursued the suspects. Soon, backup arrived, and they managed to nab one of the suspects while the other suspect dropped the stolen goods and escaped.

The team then did a property sweep where they found that the property was indeed broken into. Durban Central South SAPS arrived to take over from there. They took the apprehended suspect and all the recovered items for further processing.
