Woman killed in horrific home invasion in Glenmore

A family of three was attacked and stabbed in their Glenmore home in the early hours of this morning, leaving one person dead and two others in critical condition with multiple stab wounds.

A FAMILY of three were ambushed in their home in Glenmore this morning (June 2) in a horrific attack that left one woman dead and two others in critical condition.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, paramedics arrived on the scene just after 03:30 on Hyder Road in Glenmore.

“Paramedics arrived to find a horrific scene. A family had been attacked inside their house by an alleged suspect. Paramedics found three patients with multiple stab wounds. Immediately, more ambulances and paramedics were dispatched to assist,” said Jamieson.

Once triaged, paramedics found that a woman, believed to be in her forties, had sustained multiple stab wounds to her body, and there was nothing paramedics could do for her, and she was declared dead on the scene.

“Two men, believed to be a father and son, were found to have multiple stab wounds to their body. Both were in a critical condition and required multiple advanced life support techniques to stabilise them on the scene before they were rushed to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that they required,” said Jamieson.

At this stage, the events leading up to the attack are unknown, however, SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
