Join residential home fundraiser

Essenwood Residential Home will be hosting a fundraising Winter Market next week with an assortment of food and drinks, live music, a raffle and so much more!

ESSENWOOD Residential Home will be hosting its Winter Market on Friday, June 28, from 16:00 to 20:30, at the local retirement facility at 247 Stephen Dlamini Road. Attendees can expect an assortment of food and drinks, live music, a raffle and so much more!

“The Winter Market is a fundraising event because, in our business at the moment, times are tough. We want to mainly renovate and upgrade facilities, and right now, we’re focusing on renovating the toilets for our residents,” said the general manager at the residential home, Chad Saus.

“This year, we have 25 stalls. I know it’s cold, but we will have heaters. People will be selling fruits and vegetables, eggs, plants, veda, samoosas, boerewors rolls, fresh coffee and a range of clothes – just name it, and we will have it on sale. So the idea is that people do some shopping at the market and also have a good time and relax,” said Saus.

Saus assured the public that car guards will be positioned on the day to ensure that the parking is secure for the attendees.
