The East Coast Radio House + Garden Show kicked off on June 29 and has already attracted scores of homeowners and enthusiasts as more than 300 exhibitors showcase their products, services and lifestyles this year.

THERE was no blue Monday on the third day of the East Coast Radio House + Garden Show with patrons buzzing and exhibitors upbeat. There was no lack of vibrancy when scores of homeowners and enthusiasts made it their location of choice. Some travelled from as far as Limpopo, Gauteng and Eastern Cape.

This year, a total of 350 exhibitors showcased their products, services and lifestyles. On offer was a wide variety of arts and crafts; gaming and entertainment; home décor and renovation, education and skills outlets; garden apparatus; babies and adult fashion; beauty and health products, automobiles and many more.

Khehla Mathe, founder and creative director of Lubandzi Creatives, graced the event for the first time. His company is based in Richard’s Bay and specialises in turning leather into fashion. He admits, “I have always known about the House + Garden Show, but I never thought of exhibiting or visiting. I am glad I did this year. I am able to network with buyers, potential partners and patrons.” He said that it was such platforms that his creations needed in order to expand.

One jovial couple, Garth and Helen Mulder from Hillcrest, have visited the House + Garden Show since its inception. “We never miss it for the world. It is a beautiful shopping experience for us, and we always encourage our grandchildren to take part, too. Everything is so beautiful, and most importantly, every year, we get introduced to new products.”
