Wet weather mars Bunny Chow Challenge

The 2025 Coca-Cola Bunny Chow Challenge has been postponed due to expected heavy rain, with the event now set for November 22 at Blue Lagoon.

THE organisers of the popular Coca-Cola Bunny Chow Challenge have expressed regret in postponing the 2025 bunny chow competition.
The event was set to take place at the Blue Lagoon on Sunday, November 16. However, indications that Durban expects around 90% rain this weekend would affect set-up operations as well as the event day.

Coca-Cola Beverages SA shared, “The safety of our guests, vendors, and community remains our highest priority. We look forward to celebrating KwaZulu-Natal’s culinary heritage together next week.”

The top 10 finalists were announced last Friday, with the hope of lifting the trophy on Sunday.
A new date has been set for Sunday, November 22, at the same venue, and the public is invited to witness the crowning of the 2025 bunny chow champions.
