Easter excitement takes over Glenwood Village market
Markets, music and kid-friendly activities will bring the community together for a vibrant and festive weekend gathering.
GLENWOOD Village will be buzzing with excitement and laughter this weekend when it hosts a fun family-friendly Easter morning on Saturday, March 28.
The day will feature an Easter-themed community market, a supervised jumping castle for kids, colouring in, face painting, Easter eggs, prizes, and live music from Ilze Oosthuizen who will be playing tunes on piano.
Glenwood Village’s Steve King said there is a good chance that the Easter bunny will pop by as well. “We are excited to be offering some fun things for families for Easter,” said King.
The Easter-themed monthly market will be on the upper gallery level of the centre, with great coffee, morning tea treats, vintage clothing and accessories, arts and crafts, hand-made soaps, and bath time indulgences on sale.

Patrons will get to peruse stands selling jewellery, farm fresh produce, healing crystals and cleaning products. The centre’s regulars pop-ups will also be trading until 14:00, namely Street lit books, leather belts, perfumes, beadwork and crafts.
Outside Village Hardware, there will be tables set up for youngsters (and the not so young) to colour in Easter pictures, with prizes for the best artworks, until 13:00.
“We pride ourselves in being a space where our Glenwood community can gather and celebrate. We thought that the weekend before Easter would be a good time to host a selection of fun family participative events,” said King.
Glenwood Village, located at the corner of Che Guevara and Hunt Roads, does not charge for on-site parking, has guarded street and off-street parking, and is easily accessible on public transport.
