DESPITE the extreme weather, Sharks fans gathered at the SunZone in Suncoast Casino for the Absa Currie Cup Final Fan Day Experience on Saturday to watch their team take on the mighty Western Province in Cape Town.

The mood was electric as Sharks supporters, dressed in black and white, got into the spirit of the Currie Cup and backed their team. The day was made more festive with face painters, balloon sculptors, Sharkie the mascot and the Sharkettes who were all in attendance and helped the crowd keep the spirit alive.

The Sharks won the prestigious final, beating Western Province 33-19, a result that surprised many who had tipped Western Province to win. Jubilant Sharks supporters celebrated the victory well into the night.
