Rain puts damper on Quins cricket
YET another round of cricket was significantly impacted on by the rain.

Of the six Umbilo Harlequins Cricket Club team’s league matches, four were abandoned prior to commencement. However two were completed in Quin’s favour, on fairly uncompromised surface conditions. At the picturesque ACC oval, Quins third side took on Amanzimtoti Cricket Club’s third team. ACC 3 batted first. Quins 3 won by two wickets with eleven balls to spare. This was a tightly contested away match and a great victory for Quins.
The fourth team played UKZN’s third team in a division two encounter, at the University of Durban Westville. UKZN tallied 150 runs in 28,2 overs. Quins 4 won by seven wickets.
A club meeting will be held on Wednesday at 13 November at 6 pm at the usual venue. All teams must be represented.
On Saturday 16 November, the sixth team play Chatsworth three in a 30 over division 5 match at Penguin Street commencing at 1.30 pm.
On Sunday 17 November, the first side take on UKZN in a 50 over Challenge league stream 1 encounter at Hammondfield starting at 9am.
Quins 2 verses Chatsworth 2 in a 40 over Challenge reserve game commencing at 1pm at penguin street.
Quins 3 challenge Clares three in a 35 over Division one match-up at Asherville commencing at 1pm.
Quins 4 play Chesterville in a division 2 game starting at 1.30 pm at Cato Manor 2.
Coaching for U11s is on Thursday at 5pm and seniors will practice on Friday from 4 30 pm.
