Golfing stars, including defending champion Louis Oosthuizen will be in action at the Volvo Golf Champions in Durban in January.
THE Volvo Golf Champions returns to the beautiful Durban Country Club from 9 to 12 January 2014.
This elite event is the European tour’s true Tournament of Champions and features a star-studded field of proven winners with everyone having either won on tour in the previous year or with 10 or more career victories. The championship therefore features a perfect combination of the game’s most popular and well-established stars alongside those who are making a real name for themselves as they emerge onto the world’s golfing stage.
Defending champion Louis Oosthuizen has already confirmed his appearance as has another hugely popular local hero, the 2012 champion Branden Grace. In all, eight South Africans have already qualified so there are sure to be plenty more home-grown big names amongst the many top international stars aiming for the crown and the US$ 700,000 first-prize. The total prize fund is increased to US$ 4 million and with Volvo adding in a number of innovative Hole-in-One prizes, all four days of this feast of golf are sure to be thrilling from start to finish.
