Slalom water ski mini league

Join a programme aimed at encouraging new skiers learn about slalom water skiing.

THE 4Everdeck Water Ski League is on 23 February at Bird Valley Estate, Pietermaritzburg, at 8am.

If you think you can throw a big spray slalom skiing then go and try run a slalom course. The mini league is a programme aimed at encouraging new skiers to participate and learn about the fantastic and fun sport of slalom water skiing.

A mini league is a fun-filled day, where competitors of all ages and level of skill compete against each ona handicap system much like golf. To advance from free water slalom skiing to running a full slalom course is a daunting task and often people are unsure what to do. In order to cater for skiers still learning to run the slalom course, extras bouys have been added, which are narrower than a full course turn bouy.

Any skier may enter no matter what level of skiing you are at, no matter your gender or age. Points are awarded for every bouy you go around and for even crossing the wakes.

Cost is R200 a skier. Spectators pay nothing, and are encouraged to watch and participate. Take your own chairs and refreshments.
