Injured Lambi, Reinach a setback for Sharks

The Cell C Sharks will take on the Waratahs on Saturday minus an injured Patrick Lambie and Coubus Reinach.

THE Cell C Sharks take on the Waratahs this Saturday at Growthpoint Kings Park and will be determined to display a positive performance against a strong Waratahs outfit that are on a roll thus far in the competition.

Ahead of this weekend’s match, Dr Alan Kourie, The Cell C Sharks team doctor, has released a medical update on Pat Lambie and Cobus Reinach, who both left the field injured during the first 10 minutes of the match against the Bulls.

Patrick Lambie was diagnosed with a torn bicep tendon; he will undergo surgery later this week and will be out of action for approximately six months.

Cobus Reinach suffered a fractured hand and underwent surgery earlier this week. He will be out of action for approximately eight weeks.

Despite this crucial setback, the Cell C Sharks have strong depth and new opportunities will certainly be presented to the youngsters in the squad, who have the chance to make their mark in the competition.

The team is looking forward to a titanic battle at Growthpoint Kings Park on Saturday.
