Get set for popular big walk

START rounding up the troops, rally around your colleagues, family and friends because the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is back.

This year’s much-walked about event takes place on Sunday, 18 May. It’s all about the Big Walk To Freedom this year – the freedom to make choices, the freedom to do anything you please, the freedom to take part in one of the most anticipated events on KZN’s sport and leisure calendar.

The Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk has always been an event for the entire and with no Mini Big Walk this year, organisers are working flat out to make the event more fun and exciting for all ages, more enjoyment for the entire family all rolled up into one event on one day.

East Coast Radio’s Marketing Manager, Renee Burton, said: “The Big Walk is so much more than just a participative event. It’s about bringing people together and we at East Coast Radio are proud to be the facilitators of that kind of movement.”

Entries open on Tuesday 1 April and will close on Wednesday, 30 April. You can sign up either at selected Totalsports stores or on www.ecr.co.za

There is a R75 entry fee for the 20km and 15 km events, R65 for the 10km walk and R60 for the 5km.

Race pack collection will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 15, 16 and 17 May 2014. The pack will include your Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk T-shirt, a goodie bag and race number.
