Tee-off for charity

Tee-off in this year's Durban Child and Youth Care Centre's annual golf day.

THE Durban Child and Youth Care Centre’s annual Golf Day takes place on Friday 23 May at the Royal Durban Golf Club.

Golfers are asked to show their support and help raise much-needed funds by entering a four ball team or two, or sponsoring prizes.

Cost of a four ball team is R2,500 which includes green fees, goodie bag, competition fees as well as dinner.

The format will be a Four Ball Alliance – two scores to count.

Any sponsored prizes would be gratefully appreciated.

The funds raised from this annual event will assist the organisation in meeting the various needs of the 74 orphaned and vulnerable children in its residential programme, the 32 children a year who benefit from the Siyakhula Substance Abuse Treatment programme and the 2000 children from child headed households in Umbumbulu and Ndwedwe who benefit from the Isibindi Outreach Project. These victims of HIV and Aids experience a deep sense of loss and sorrow after the death of their parents, in addition they struggle daily to meet their basic needs for food, shelter and clothing.
