On July 18, Thusang Community Development brought partners and community members together at Rock Church Ministries to feed hundreds, hand out gifts to children and young women, and celebrate five years of community work

Thusang Community Development celebrated its fifth anniversary and International Mandela Day at Rock Church Ministries by providing food and assistance to over 200 neighbours on July 18.

In collaboration with Reiger Park CPF Sector 2 and 224 Clubhouse, the organisers provided 30 teenage girls with hygiene packs, 150 children with toys and sweets, and hot meals and bottled water.

The programme, which celebrated five years of consistent community engagement and reaffirmed a commitment to Madiba’s legacy via service, combined partner thoughts and appreciation with a gospel performance by Khiphizwi.

Reigerpark CPF Sector 2, 224 Clubhouse, Sho Beauty, Aquelle Company, Mr Sweets, Miss Gay, Rock Church Ministries, and the Sundowns branch were among the sponsors.

Thusang said the anniversary marked a renewed commitment to serving the community with dignity and thanked partners and volunteers for their ongoing support.
